Website and enquiry terms
These are the terms for using our website and for any enquiry sent through it. The site in question is: hastingsunderpinning.co.uk It's run by: Hastings Underpinning By using the site, or by sending an enquiry, you're accepting these terms.
The job this site does
This site exists to do one particular job. Here's what that is: underpinning We explain the underpinning problem in plain terms and pass your enquiry to one specialist firm covering your area. We aren't that firm, and we don't carry out inspections or any underpinning work ourselves.
What you can do with our content
You're welcome to read this site and print a page for your own personal use, at no charge. The words, images, design and code on it belong to us or to those who've licensed them to us, and that owner is: Hastings Underpinning Copying any of it for publication elsewhere, framing it on another site, scraping it, or using it in a misleading way isn't allowed.
General information, not a site survey
It's worth being clear about what these pages are for. Here's the job this site is doing: underpinning Everything published here is general information about underpinning, not a survey, a report, or advice about your particular property, and it shouldn't take the place of having the property properly inspected.
Once you send an enquiry
Filling in and sending our enquiry form costs you nothing, and it doesn't create a contract between you and us. What happens to it next is this: Your enquiry, with the details you gave, is passed to one specialist firm covering the area you told us about, so that they can contact you about it. They use it only to answer your enquiry and to arrange any visit or work you agree with them, and from that point they are responsible for how they handle it. We do not pass your details to anyone else for their own use. Any inspection, quotation or work that follows is a matter between you and the specialist, under their own terms, not ours. On money, here's the position: The specialist may pay us when we pass the enquiry on. You pay us nothing, and you are free to get quotes from anyone else. None of this stops you getting quotes from anyone else as well.
Responsibility for what happens next
Once a specialist firm contacts you, they answer for their own inspection, advice, quotation, work, and any guarantee attached to it. If something about that work needs complaining about, take it to them first, though we're happy to hear about it too.
No guarantee on what's published
We work to keep this site correct and available, but we can't promise either. Parts of it may be changed, added to, or removed at any time.
Where our responsibility ends
To the extent the law allows, our liability to you under these terms is limited. That limit doesn't apply to death or personal injury caused by our negligence, to fraud, or to anything else the law won't let us limit. Nothing here affects the rights you have as a consumer, which are these: If you are a consumer, nothing in these terms takes away the rights the law gives you, including your rights under the Consumer Rights Act 2015.
If a link takes you elsewhere
Where this site links out to another website, that site isn't under our control, and a link there isn't us recommending it.
If we change these terms later
We can change these terms from time to time, and the version shown on the site at the time you use it is the one that applies. Any change won't affect an enquiry you've already sent us.
Law and courts that apply
These terms are governed by the law of the place where we're established. If you're a consumer, nothing stops you bringing a claim in the courts where you live instead.
How to raise a complaint
If you've a question about these terms, or about anything else to do with this site, the contact page is where to start. Where a complaint concerns how we've handled your personal information specifically, here's how it's dealt with: If you complain to us about how we have handled your personal information, we acknowledge it within 30 days and reply as soon as we can.
